Father of two gets nine years' jail for forcing unnatural sex on 13-year-old girl

MELAKA: A 40-year-old man, who is the father of two children, has pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court here to having non-consensual unnatural sex with a 13-year-old schoolgirl, say police.

Melaka police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zainol Samah said police expedited the investigation based on a report made by the victim's mother on June 16 that her daughter had been abducted from a school in Klang, Selangor.

The victim, he said, had revealed her details to the suspect in a social media chat in early June.

"We detained the suspect at an apartment here on June 26," he said on Friday (July 1).

The suspect was sentenced to nine years' jail and three strokes of the rotan for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature.

The sentence was meted out by judge Mohd Sabri Ismail.

The offence under Section 377C of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping.

The suspect committed the offence at Bachang Permai Apartment here on June 16.

He is facing four more charges under Section 376(2) of the Penal Code and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act.

The court fixed July 28 for re-mention.
